Ali Zafar made his debut as a musician with the album Huqa Pani, released in Pakistan in 2003 and worldwide in 2005. The album was an instant hit, selling over 600,000 copies worldwide. It also earned him several awards and also put him into the league of the most popular artists ever. He can sing a range of songs from pop to folk to semi-classical. His songs earned him a new era of fan following.

Ali Zafar first experienced his acting in Pakistani television drama before becoming one of the most popular singer of this generation in Pakistan. He has acted in dramas like Kanch Ke Par, miniseries Kollege Jeans and many more. After he created sensation as a singer, he was appeared in the "Khuda Kay Liye" in 2007. After a span of time, he has featured as a solo main lead in his debut Bollywood movie, "Tere Bin Laden" and later was part of London, Paris, New York, which also received great critical acclaim.

The couple has a baby boy named Azaan Zafar, who was born on 6 March 2010.
Ali has become a proud father again. His wife Ayesha Fazli delivered a baby girl in Lahore on 23 February 2015. He has become a father to a baby girl.
