Ranveer Singh is an Indian actor who is popular in bollywood industry. He always wanted to be an actor from his childhood days. He made his debut with Yash Raj Films Band Baaja Baaraat opposite Anushka Sharma followed by many other successful movies like 'Goliyon ki Rasleela - Ram Leela', Lootera, Gunday and many more. Biography
Ranveer Singh was born as Ranveer Singh Bhavnani on 6 July 1985 in Mumbai to Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and Anju Bhavnani. He has an elder sister named Ritika Bhavnani. He completed his education from H.R. College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai and went to United States to pursue Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University, Bloomington. He is very passionate towards acting, dancing and also focused on creative writing. After completing his studies, he came back to Mumbai in 2007, worked for a few years as copywriter with agencies like O&M and JWT.
In Bajirao Mastani
Ranveer Singh will be seen in an upcoming Hindi period romance film, Bajirao Mastani, which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film is based on the love story between Peshwa Bajirao and his second wife Mastani. Ranveer will essay the role of Baji Rao. The female lead roles will be played by Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra. It is slated to release on December 18, 2015.

Dil Dhadakne Do is an Indian Bollywood film directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment. The film revolves around an imbalanced Punjabi family on a cruise trip. Ranveer Singh is seen as Kabir Mehra, who is a wealthy person by birth. He has the best comic timing in the film. You see the natural Ranveer in Kabir Mehra who is a very lovable character in the film. The movie also features Anil Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles.

Ranveer Singh always wanted to be an actor from his childhood days and therefore participated in plays and debates in school. He said that, "I was a very filmy kid. I used to watch TV and get very influenced by Bollywood". After his graduation, he grabbed the opportunity in Yash Raj Films, venture "Band Baaja Baarat" in 2010. For that film he won the Filmfare Award for the "Best Male Debut".
Career
Ranveer Singh dreamt of entering into bollywood. He has worked as an Assistant Director, but left it to pursue acting. After three and a half years of struggle, luck finally favoured him and in January 2010, he was called for an audition at Yash Raj Films (YRF). According to sources, before the shooting of Lootera he went out of his way to buy his mother an expensive gift.
